The Best Mid-Size Sedan For the Price: Nissan Altima

Nissan is a name that is synonymous with safety and reliability. Buying a Nissan means that you will be able to get to work and drive your kids safely to school. But when people think of Nissan they don’t always think of value.  That is about to change. The 2020 Nissan Altima has heads turning while keeping budgets happy.

Since the Nissan Altima received an overhaul in 2019, the 2020 model didn’t get much more than a handful of upgrades. Drivers don’t seem to mind and are still buying the Nissan Altima. Families are comfortable on the drive as well as when carpooling. There are features that only Nissan drivers can enjoy as well as a sleek exterior design and safety features to match.

2020 Nissan Altima Available Trim Levels

The 2020 Nissan Altima has four different trim levels for drivers to choose from. Drivers have options that can fit into most budgets while offering additional packages available at each level.

This trim level comes with an I4 2.5L engine with 188 horsepower, giving the Nissan Altima S the perfect fuel economy for the commuter. With 32 combined MPG, that morning drive won’t seem like such a bother.  With the ability to seat five adults comfortably in the spacious cabin, the carpool crown won’t mind the commute either.

This trim level still comes with AM/FM radio but does have an infotainment system with the ability to connect to smartphones. It also comes with standard Nissan safety features that include intelligent forward collision monitoring and a rearview backup camera, just to name a few.

The SR trim level, the best trim package for the money, has the same engine as the S model. You can expect the same above-average fuel economy for this level. Most of the interior features are similar with the exception of sport stitching and leatherette trim features as well as an eight-way power driver’s seat. The SR also has a handsome upgraded digital gauge cluster.

This trim level also comes with some added safety features such as blind-spot alert. If drivers get the premium package they will get heated mirrors, heated seats, and a sunroof.

The SV trim level has the features that the previous two have but with a few added extras. A few of those features are the NissanConnect Selective Service Internet access and heated sport leather-wrapped steering wheel. It also comes with distance tracking in stop/go traffic and a Homelink garage door opener.

The last two trim packages are the SL and Platinum trims. These packages carry the highest price point and add things such as the Nissan 360 safety package, optional upgrades, and more luxury features.

How Much Does the 2020 Nissan Altima Cost?

The 2020 Nissan Altima has various price points depending on the trim level and add-ons you choose. The base model starts at $25,225 while the Platinum trim level starts at $$33,325.
